Photography Education

For Photographers who are ready for No-fluff, real-talk feedback to improve your artistry and business—without making you question your entire existence.

You love photography. Maybe you’re just starting to think about turning it into a business, or maybe you’ve already learned the basics, built a portfolio, and have some clients—but something still feels off.

Maybe your work isn’t as consistent as you’d like, or or you’re struggling to attract the right clients (or any clients at all!) and make your business actually work. You don’t need vague advice or sugarcoated feedback. You need honest, actionable guidance that actually helps you improve.

That’s where I come in.

I'm Stephanie,

and I help photographers who are
still developing their portfolio and growing their business.

I know how it feels to be pulled in a million different directions, and not just as a mom, but within the photography industry- who should I listen to, who is giving the right advice? When I was first starting out, I had little money to invest in my business apart from buying my camera, and so I spent (wasted) so. much. time. scouring free resources and trying to piece it all together.

But I am here to tell from experience, and as a mom, that that is not something I would recommend doing. It took me a long time to become profitable, because I was trying to do it all myself. And as a small business owner, a mom, and someone who values and needs time for myself, that was really hard.

Being a family photographer can be lonely. Yes, you get to photograph some amazing people, but you only spend about an hour with them, and they don't offer any business advice.

So, I'm the photography friend you've always wanted.

The one who wants you to succeed more than anything and will give you honest, sound advice for you to make that happen for yourself.

Because I know you can do this, and I'm here to help.

Confession: I'm a part-time photographer.

So why should you take advice from someone who doesn't have a full-time business?

Because success in photography isn’t just about working 40+ hours a week—it’s about creating work you love, serving clients well, and building a business that fits your life. That’s exactly what I’ve done.

I’ve crafted a photography business that’s not just functional but thriving—with consistent bookings, a loyal client base, and an experience that keeps people coming back. I know what it takes to create stunning, storytelling images, elevate the client journey, and make photography work (without burnout).

Whether your goal is to go full-time or create a flexible business that fits your life, I can help you refine your artistry, streamline your client experience, and build a business that feels right for you.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how many hours you work—it’s about the impact you make.

So, what will you learn from me?

Portfolio & Website Review

You need a collection of images that showcase your style and abilities. Even if you’re still refining your work, having a strong foundation of images that represent the type of clients you want to attract is crucial.

Business & Pricing Strategy

It’s not enough to take great photos—you need to know how to price your work profitably, handle contracts, and set up the legal side of your business (business license, taxes, insurance, etc.).

Building Client Trust

People book photographers they feel comfortable with. I will help you build a great client experience that leads to repeat clients & referrals.

Confidence & Direction

Imposter syndrome is real, and without a clear plan, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Having mentorship, feedback (like portfolio reviews!), and a step-by-step approach can help you move forward with clarity.

We should work together if:

You are just starting your business or you need help getting more clients

"I had a great experience with Stephanie taking photos for my business. She made the whole process fun and easy. The communication and understanding of what I was looking for was there every step of the way. Before the shoot she made sure she knew what my goals were, gave me great ideas before and during, took every shot I was hoping for plus some amazing ones I wasn’t expecting. Her editing skills ensures that every photo looks beautiful. I was very nervous being photographed working and simply wasn’t excited to be in the photos. But she put my mind at ease right away. I could not be happier with how the photos came out, far exceeded my expectations. So grateful I had the opportunity to work with Stephanie. If you are looking for photos of your family or your business look no further."
