Vermont Family Photographer
"When we have each other, we have everything."
Relaxed, fun Vermont Family Photography for families who want more than the perfect portrait.
Your family session will be laid-back, relaxed, and yes, even fun! Even the dads end up having a great time and are surprised at how easy it is to create beautiful, authentic images of your family. Although my work looks unposed, I guide and pose you every step of the way. You are never left wondering what you should do!
Parents- you are off duty during your session! As a mom of two young children myself, I have experience with grabbing and holding a child's attention, and engaging with them in a way that makes them feel so comfortable. Sometimes kids have off days, and that's OK! You can sit and cuddle with them, and most of the time those are actually the best shots of the session. They are the most meaningful because you are comforting them- and isn't that one of our biggest jobs as parents- to make sure we are there for our kids when they need us most.
What locations do you have to offer for our Vermont Family Session?
Your outdoor family session will take place at one of my carefully selected locations in the Central Vermont area. Many of my locations are situated in the Mad River Valley, close to Sugarbush Resort and Mad River Glen. You can choose from field, river, lake, and hilltop locations, with the option to explore a more adventurous location such as mountaintop. All clients receive access to my location guide when booking, and I will help you choose the perfect location for your family. I can also come to your home if you have some beautiful property you would like to photograph at.
Do you offer Extended Family Sessions?
Of course! Extended Family Sessions are sessions that include three (or more!) generations- think grandma & grandpa, cousins, and the whole rest of the gang. Your session will be a little more "posed" than my regular family sessions, but each family unit gets a short session of their own in addition to shots of the group, grandparents with grandchildren, and all the cousins together. I have a lot of experience working with large family groups: I always photograph the families with littles first, so that they can relax while I photograph the rest of the families and couples. These sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or your family vacation to Vermont!
