Motherhood changed everything for me. It taught me how fleeting time is—how quickly tiny hands grow, laughter shifts, and moments become memories. As a mom, I know how deeply you love your family, how you long to hold onto these days just a little longer. That’s why I do what I do.

I don’t just take pictures—I create art that tells your family’s story. My sessions are about more than perfect poses; they’re about genuine connection, raw emotion, and the kind of moments you’ll want to relive forever. Whether it’s your children running barefoot through a golden field, the quiet embrace of new parenthood, or the laughter that fills your home, I capture the beauty of your everyday magic.

With Vermont’s stunning landscapes as our backdrop, I’ll take you to the most breathtaking locations—hidden meadows, golden mountain vistas, quiet forest trails, and dreamy lakeshores—places where your family can truly be free, explore, and connect. I’ll guide you through a relaxed, adventure-filled experience where you can simply enjoy each other, while I document the love and joy that naturally unfolds.

Because these aren’t just photos; they’re pieces of your family’s legacy.

If you’re looking for a photographer who understands what these moments mean—who will treat your story with the heart and artistry it deserves—then I’d be honored to create something beautiful for you.

Let’s chase light, laughter, and love together.

"Stephanie recently photographed our family. I had never done anything like this, but decided to try it. Kids grow up so fast and I wanted to capture my daughters infancy. She was professional, easy, and fun to work with. We had to reschedule quite a few times due to sickness and Stephanie was so understanding.
From our first contact she promptly wrote back to my emails and made every step easy, offering helpful tips for where to shoot and what kind of clothes to wear etc. Its clear she really cares about her clients and wants to get to know them. She has a real gift for making her subjects feels at ease.
As a mother of young children herself, she easily connected with our children. We love the moments she captured. Its clear Stephanie has a real gift for her art, its inspiring. Our son refers to her as "Special Stephanie" and its true, she is really a gem. You won't be disappointed.
We're so glad we tried something new, and now we have such beautiful photos of our family."

So, what makes me the best photographer in Vermont for you?
What makes me different from ALL the other photographers out there?
Well, my clients say it best:
Time and time again, I hear from families who tell me, “These are the first photos I actually love of myself,” or “I can’t believe you captured that moment between my kids—it’s exactly them.”
My goal isn’t just to take photos; it’s to give you something that, years from now, will bring you right back to this season of life—the way your child’s hand fit in yours, the way they crinkled their nose when they laughed, the way you looked at them with so much love.
I know a lot of family photographers say,
“I’m a mom, so I understand.”
But here’s the thing—being a mom doesn’t just make me understand your experience. It shapes the way I photograph it.
Anyone can take a picture of your family standing together, smiling at the camera. But I want you to feel something when you look at your photos years from now.
I’m Not Just Patient—I Know How to Make Kids Feel Comfortable
You don’t have to apologize if your toddler won’t sit still or if your baby needs a break. I’ve been there. Instead of forcing kids into poses, I meet them where they’re at. I make photos fun for them—so instead of resistance, you get real smiles, genuine laughter, and moments that feel like your family, not a staged version of it.
I Know That You Deserve to Be Seen, Too
As moms, we’re always behind the camera. We snap photos of our kids, our partners, and the people we love, but we’re rarely in them. And when we are, we’re often our own worst critics. I get that. I’ll guide you in a way that makes you feel beautiful—not just in a posed, perfect way, but in a way that shows you just how loved and important you are.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
for your
Vermont Family Photographer
Where are you located?
I am located in the Mad River Valley, in the beautiful town of Warren. I will travel to surrounding areas or meet at a location in between.
Why should I book my photography session with Lincoln Gap Photography?
My sessions are relaxed and fun! Your children do not have to sit still, and they certainly don't need to be a certain way for me! I love to capture them as they are in this moment of their lives. I will direct your family with simple prompts and move you so you are in the best light, but I want you to truly enjoy this time together as a family. Focus on one another! Our lives are so busy, and I want your session to feel like a date, not a chore.
What locations do you have for my Vermont Family, Maternity or Senior Session?
Your outdoor family, maternity or senior session will take place at one of my carefully selected locations in the Central Vermont area. Many of my locations are situated in the Mad River Valley, close to Sugarbush Resort and Mad River Glen. You can choose from field, river, lake, and hilltop locations, with the option to explore a more adventurous location such as mountaintop. All clients receive access to my location guide when booking, and I will help you choose the perfect location for your family. I can also come to your home if you have some beautiful property you would like to photograph at.
Do you offer Extended Family Sessions?
Of course! Extended Family Sessions are sessions that include three (or more!) generations- think grandma & grandpa, cousins, and the whole rest of the gang. Your session will be a little more "posed" than my regular family sessions, but each family unit gets a short session of their own in addition to shots of the group, grandparents with grandchildren, and all the cousins together. I have a lot of experience working with large family groups: I always photograph the families with littles first, so that they can relax while I photograph the rest of the families and couples. These sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or your family vacation to Vermont!
How should we dress?
When you book your session, I send you a style guide to help you select your wardrobe for your session. While you want to be comfortable at your session, this is also a special occasion! I suggest wearing something a little nicer than your every day clothing: a beautiful maxi dress, a hip layered outfit with jeans, and add accessories! All sessions include a styling consultation through email or video chat.
Where will my Vermont Newborn Session take place?
Your newborn session will take place in your home. Common rooms to photograph in are the parents' bedroom, the nursery, and living room. We can take some photos outside around your property if the weather is nice.
Will you pose my newborn?
No! Your newborn will stay in your arms for the majority of your newborn session. If they are happy we can lay them on your bed for some very natural portraits, but I did not do studio posing, froggy poses, or put babies into buckets or baskets.
What comes with my photography package? Do you off prints?
Your photography session comes with approximately 1 hour of photography (newborns are a little longer), 30+ high resolution digital photographs presented in a beautiful online gallery, and a print release for personal use of all of the images in your gallery.

You may shop right in your gallery for bespoke keepsakes: professional prints, memory books, canvases, and modern metal wall art.
How long will it take to process my images?
It will take approximately 4 weeks for me to edit your images and deliver your gallery. The reason for this is that I personally hand edit every single image I deliver. I see my photography as an art, and I spend lots of time making sure your images flow together, and reflect your family and your session experience.
How do I book my photography session?
Fill out my contact form to get in touch with your interest. Please let me know the type of session your are interested in booking, and the date(s) you are interested in. I will send you an email with information about my sessions and schedule a quick phone call with you to answer any of your questions. I will then send you a portrait agreement and invoice for the non-refundable retainer fee to hold your session date. Your session is booked when I receive both your signed agreement and retainer fee.
