ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Located in the Mad River Valley, Vermont
I'm Stephanie, and I’m the artist behind Lincoln Gap Photography. Throughout my journey as a mother, I have noticed how quickly time flies, even though sometimes it feels like it's standing still. My life’s work is to create meaningful memories for families and couples, and it is so important to me that when you look at the images we create together, you are transported back in time to that very moment.
A little about me: I'm fun and relaxed, but have literally no cheesy photographer's jokes up my sleeve, so if your looking for those- SORRY! I have an amazing husband, two daughters who I am inspired by every day, and old black lab, two cats, and seven chickens, who all get sick of posing for me, but get to frequent my Instagram account a bunch! I aspire to have my own little micro farm- I am constantly creating new garden beds, tending my flock, and shaping our yard into an edible landscape. I love living the Vermont simple life- skiing in the winter, farming and bumming it at the swimming holes in the summer.
I know as a busy parent, finding the time to schedule family photos AND find a photographer
you want to work with can be overwhelming, and we just don’t take the time to do it. That’s where I come in!
I provide a unique photography experience to my clients that allows them to relax and have a fun, laid-back session, and then enjoy gorgeous photos of their family.
I provide all of my clients location and styling suggestions, so you aren’t left scouring the internet for beautiful places to shoot or looking through Pinterest for the best outfit for your session. I am available to you via email, text or phone call in the weeks leading up to your session, so if you have questions, ask away!
But my kids won’t pay attention and be good. How can we get through a photography session? This is literally WHY my photography business exists- for families like yours- (and mine!)- people who have real families with kids who like to run around, explore, and play (and sometimes are having an off-day)! I let you do all of that, and while your family is exploring the location or snuggling at home, I guide you into relaxed, meaningful portraits that don’t feel like a chore. You are literally spending time with one another, and I happen to be there to guide you into the best light and make suggestions for the best portraits possible.
After your session, you are able to download all of your images. I know how important it is that you have the digital images to share on your social media and make prints as you like. But I also know that digital images get put on hard drives and never resurface. They get corrupted and lost. It is so easy to order beautiful prints, wall art, albums, and more right from your gallery. And the best part is I do all the hard work for you- I edit your images so the colors will print perfectly from my professional lab partners. I adjust your prints, design your albums, and if there are any issues, I take care of that for you right away! All of my prints and products are guaranteed only when printed through me, but you get professional, 100+ year archival artwork that will be beautifully displayed in your home for years to come.
I can't wait to hear from you, whether you are a local or visitor so...
"We are making
to understand what our lives really mean to us."
- Ralph Hattersley
"Stephanie recently photographed our family. I had never done anything like this, but decided to try it. Kids grow up so fast and I wanted to capture my daughters infancy. She was professional, easy, and fun to work with. We had to reschedule quite a few times due to sickness and Stephanie was so understanding. From our first contact she promptly wrote back to my emails and made every step easy, offering helpful tips for where to shoot and what kind of clothes to wear etc. Its clear she really cares about her clients and wants to get to know them. She has a real gift for making her subjects feels at ease. As a mother of young children herself, she easily connected with our children. We love the moments she captured. Its clear Stephanie has a real gift for her art, its inspiring. Our son refers to her as "Special Stephanie" and its true, she is really a gem. You won't be disappointed. We're so glad we tried something new, and now we have such beautiful photos of our family."
